What a puzzle is
Puzzles puts you inside a real US-equity or ETF moment from the licensed history. A position was opened at a named session's close. You see the chart up to one later session, the decision session, and nothing after it. You choose what the position does next, and the puzzle scores every choice against the bars that actually printed afterwards.
There are 6 puzzles today, across earnings, headline shock and macro moments:
- Extended into the print (NVDA, earnings, intermediate)
- Sized for it already (META, earnings, beginner)
- A winner into the print (TSLA, earnings, intermediate)
- Underwater into the print (TSLA, earnings, advanced)
- The headline is about your company (CRWD, headline shock, intermediate)
- The market sells off, not your thesis (SPY, macro, advanced)
How a round runs
- 01Read the setup. The chart loads up to the decision session's close, with the position, its entry and what it is worth at that close. The bars after the decision are not requested until you commit, so nothing on the page knows the answer while the question is open.
- 02Make the call. Hold, close part of the position, add to it, or hold with a stop at a named level. Each choice says what it does before you pick it.
- 03See the reveal. The sessions after the decision print, every choice is scored on them, and the counterfactual table shows what each would have made or lost.
How it is scored
- Entry prices, share counts, stop levels and P&L are all worked out from the bars at play time, so the puzzle can never drift from the data it is scored on.
- A stop that the next session gaps through fills at that session's open, not at the stop price, because nobody traded at the stop. This is the same fill rule ReLive uses.
- Your result is the P&L from the decision onwards, compared with the other choices.
The line
Each puzzle names an author's line: the choice that keeps risk defined given what the chart could show at the time. It is a process answer, not an outcome answer, and the reveal is allowed to disagree with it. Your record shows whether you matched the line or missed it; the disagreement is the lesson.
Your record
The hub keeps your attempts in this browser, with the choice you made, whether it matched the line and what it returned. Clear the browser's site data and the record goes with it; a record kept on your account is a follow-up once the puzzles earn it.
Who can play
Puzzles are on Pro and Ultimate, the plans with ReLive, and run on the same delayed T+1 US-equity history, so nothing here is live and no puzzle uses today's session. They never use your own trades. ReLive replays whole sessions bar by bar on the same data.
