Getting started

Create your account, confirm your email, and take your first steps: bring trades in, review one, and ask Sage about it.

Create your account

  1. 01
On the sign-up page, enter your name, email and a password of at least 6 characters, then press Create Account.
  2. 02
Open the email from onboarding@leafedge.io with the subject Confirm your email address, and follow its link.
  3. 03
The link asks for your password before it confirms anything. Type the password you chose and press Confirm email, or press Choose a new password instead to set a new one.

You can't sign in until your email is confirmed. The link expires in 1 hour. An expired link lets you send yourself a new one.

To use Google instead, press Continue with Google on the sign-in page. It creates an account if you don't have one.

No email?

Check your spam or junk folder first. If it isn't there, press Forgot password? on the sign-in page and use the same address: setting a new password from that email also confirms your address.

What Free includes

Every account starts on Free, and Free is permanent. It holds unlimited trades and 3 playbooks, and gives you 1 message to Sage a day. On Free you bring trades in by uploading a file or adding them by hand; broker connections are part of the paid plans. See Billing for what Pro and Ultimate add.

The Get started checklist

Your dashboard opens with Get started, a short checklist in three groups. The first group is the essentials:

Those three tick themselves when you do them. Every step has a Show me how guide, and there is a 3-minute tour. On other pages, a Get started button in the bottom-right corner brings the checklist back.

To put it away, press Hide. Settings → Appearance can show it again.

Look around with example trades

Before your first import, Explore with example trades first fills an empty journal with example trades. A ribbon tells you they're not yours. They're removed automatically when you bring in your own trades, or straight away with Remove now.

Find your way around

The bar across the top of the app holds the main sections:

  • Dashboard: your numbers, and a calendar that opens each day's report.
  • Trades: your trade list, plus Add Trade for a trade you enter by hand.
  • Journal: notes, linked to trades if you like.
  • Strategy Lab: your playbooks, ranked by what each contributed.
  • Deep Analysis: a closer look at your history, on every plan.
  • Sage: the coach that reads your trades and journal.
  • ReLive and Charts: practice and market history. Charts is marked Beta.
  • Rapid Scan is marked Soon: it isn't available yet.

The Sync icon beside them is where trades come in.
