Coming from TradesViz

A TradesViz alternative, with the limits up front.

Leaf Edge imports the stock fills in TradesViz's Executions export and pairs them into trades. It doesn't bring your TradesViz journal across: notes, tags and screenshots don't become Leaf Edge records.

What comes across

What imports from TradesViz

One file comes across: the Executions export. Here is what happens to each part of it, and to everything else in TradesViz.

  • Stock fills in the Executions export

    Imports

Each row is one fill. Leaf Edge pairs the fills into trades and works out each trade's P&L. Export with Native / UTC: a time without a time zone is refused, never guessed.

  • Option, future, forex and crypto rows

    Not yet

Each one is listed with a reason and skipped. The real TradesViz export the import was built from held stocks only, so other assets' symbols and contract sizes aren't guessed.

  • The Trades export

    Doesn't import

It summarises each trade in one row, without the fills behind it. Leaf Edge recognises the file and asks for the Executions export instead.Source: TradesViz FAQ

  • Tags and notes

    Text only

Any tags and notes in the file are kept as plain text in the trade's note. They don't become Leaf Edge tags or journal entries.

  • Screenshots and images

    Doesn't import

Only the rows of the file come across. Images stay in TradesViz.

  • Stop-loss and profit-target levels

    Doesn't import

    Not read from the file.

  • More than one TradesViz account

    Partly

One at a time. Every TradesViz file lands in a single TradesViz Import account, where its fills are paired together, so a second account's fills would be paired with the first's.

File import is free on every plan, including Free, and a TradesViz import uses no broker slot. See which other files Leaf Edge reads, and how far each is tested, on the broker support page.

Getting the file

Export the file from TradesViz

Steps checked in a TradesViz account on 26 September 2026, and against TradesViz's own FAQ and import guide on 20 October 2026.

  1. In TradesViz, open Import and choose the Manage/Export Data tab.
  2. Under Step 1, select one account and click Apply. The Executions file does not say which account a fill came from, so export each account on its own.
  3. Set Export Type to Executions and Currency/Timezone to Native / UTC, then click Download/Export.
  4. In Leaf Edge, open Sync, choose Upload File and drop in the file whose name ends executions_export_<date>.csv. Check the preview, and any skipped rows, before you import.

Common questions

Can Leaf Edge import my TradesViz journal?
It imports your trades, not your journal. Leaf Edge reads the stock fills in TradesViz's Executions export and pairs them into trades. Notes, tags and screenshots don't become Leaf Edge notes, tags or screenshots; any tags or notes in the file are kept as plain text in the trade's note.
Is importing from TradesViz free?
Yes. File import, TradesViz included, works on every plan, including Free, and a TradesViz import uses no broker slot.
Why were my option or futures rows skipped?
Only stock rows import from TradesViz so far. The real TradesViz export the import was built from held stocks only, so every other row is listed with a reason and skipped rather than guessed.
What happens when I import a newer export?
Each fill keeps the same identity however the file is ordered, so fills you have already imported aren't added twice. Only the new fills are added.
I have more than one TradesViz account. What should I do?
Import one account's Executions file. Every TradesViz file lands in the same TradesViz Import account in Leaf Edge, where its fills are paired together, so a second account's fills would be paired with the first account's.
