What We Store on Your Device

Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser. Leaf Edge uses two kinds.

1. Essential storage: needed for the Service to work, for example keeping you signed in, remembering your appearance settings and remembering your analytics choice. You cannot switch these off.
2. Usage statistics: we use PostHog to count page views, feature use (which buttons and links are clicked, without the text on them) and page speed so we can improve Leaf Edge. Page and link addresses are sent without their query strings or record ids, so a link from one of our emails, or the page for one of your trades, is never recorded as such. PostHog keeps an anonymous visitor identifier in local storage. It is not linked to your account, email or trades, and we do not record your sessions, build heatmaps or use it for advertising. PostHog processes this data for us and does not use it for its own purposes.

Partner Links

A Leaf Edge partner's link carries the partner's code in the web address. We store nothing on your device for it: the code goes with the address to the sign-up form, where you can see it and remove it. See our Privacy Policy for what we record when you sign up through one.

Why There Is No Cookie Banner

UK law lets a website store information for statistics that improve its own service without asking first, as long as it explains this and lets you object for free (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025). We rely on that exception for usage statistics in the UK and outside Europe. If your browser's time zone places you elsewhere in Europe, we store nothing for statistics: the anonymous identifier lasts only while the page is open.

Your Choice

Usage statistics are on by default. Switch them off here and this browser stops sending them. You can switch them back on at any time.

We also treat your browser's Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting as a request to switch statistics off. Clearing your browser storage or using a tracker blocker also removes or prevents them. Essential storage cannot be switched off.

Account Measurement

When you use your account, our servers record which product steps it completes, such as verifying an email, importing trades, saving a review or starting a subscription. These records use an internal account ID, never your email or trade contents, and nothing is stored on your device for them. See our Privacy Policy for the legal basis.
